The Native American Flute

The Native American flute is unique to the individual who makes it.

A variety of woods, lengths, bore diameters, number of holes, pitch, and the decorative aspects of the flute add up to a nearly infinite array of instruments.

Native American instruments are built to a specific key, so you will need a different instrument to play in F versus G.

These flutes have undergone quite a resurgence in popularity over the last couple of decades. Books, CDs, instruments, and instruction kits for making your own instruments are readily available on-line.
