sweaty slip

by n/a
(america)

My first solo ever was a Bach piece. I was playing it for a solo and ensemble contest and my band teacher picked it. It was hard, and I was really nervous and sweating a lot. I started, had good tone, and was hitting all of my notes perfectly. Then I had grace notes, played them perfectly, and my fingers slipped on the next note and sounded like grace notes! After the judge asked me about it, I told her the situation. I ended up with a 2nd rating, but it was my first solo.

Great job!

That happens a lot when performing. The important thing is you kept on going and finished the piece.
