How do I teach my friend to play the flute?

My friend wants me to teach her how to play the flute. I have played the flute for about three years. How do I teach her? What do I do first? Hi, Georgia. Take a look at my flute instruction page for some ideas on getting started. First show her how to put the flute together and hold it. Next have her blow into the head joint and show her how to get a sound. Then show her how to put her fingers on the keys. After that, you can take it from there!
