Question: I really enjoyed the pieces and hope to play like that in the future, that is my goal through online flute lessons!

Answer: I'm so glad you listened to this beautiful piece. I love it.

I am a firm believer that listening is a vital part of becoming a good musician. We must get the sound we are striving for in our minds and ears before it can come out of us!

It isn't just a matter of learning repertoire, although that alone is wonderful, but we must also learn style. It's so much easier to do that by listening to others than just guessing about it on our own.

The ultimate is to listen to recordings or live performances of many people playing the same piece so that you can compared their interpretations and then come up with your own.

Keep listening and practicing and you'll achieve your goals!
