Flute retirement

Flute retirement doesn't mean you have to retire from playing the flute!

But as we get older, other concerns enter our flute world besides flute history and how to play the flute. Namely, how can we support ourselves when we retire from the work world.

If you're an American, are you depending on Social Security? Maybe not a great idea. Read this article about the tenuous nature of Social Security payments as our population grows older.

Social Security has existed all of our lives and we've been paying into it all of our lives. But can we expect it to support our lifestyles when retire?

Many flutists are private teachers and thus self-employed. Perhaps you don't have Social Security to look to, meager as it might be.

The key is to look to another source of income that can sustain us or even replace our current income. One of the best ways to build that is an income-producing web site.

Creating an income-producing web to support yourself in retirement doesn't have to be difficult, but the key is starting right away, not the day before you retire!

I built this site with Site Build It! from SiteSell and the money it produces grows on a steady basis. You can do the same!

Old age doesn't mean you can't be active in the flute world. It can be a great time to travel, study flute history in depth, learn how to make a flute, and take in more concerts.

But if you do need to slow down, you want to be sure you have income to support yourself.
