Flute lesson

Welcome to your next flute lesson!

In today's lesson, we learn the C on the third space. This note can be a real "balancing act" on the flute because you don't have a lot of fingers closed. The balance occurs with your chin, your left index finger, and your right hand.

Be careful of the pitch with "open" notes such as this C. Notes with few keys closed on the flute tend to have a stuffy "pop bottle" sound and the pitch isn't as stable as other notes. This is a good note to practice with your tuner.
