If you've always wanted to play the flute, or if you'd like someone to play along with, you've come to the right place!
The great thing about on-line lessons is that you can watch them as often as you need to, whenever you want to, whenever it's convenient for you.
We'll progress through the basics of playing the flute and I'll give you tips on practicing.
I'll also give you a listening assignment. You'll learn flute repertoire, and listening to fine performances helps you become a better player! Listening is a huge part of being a musician.
Be sure to sign up in the form below so you are on my mailing list for new lessons. They're completely free lessons, but you'll want to know where you can find them!
If you don't have a book, you can order one below.
Also, a stand, metronome, and a digital tuner come in very handy and I've provided links for ordering those as well. A Manhasset stand is a good investment. The flimsy folding stands can be quite frustrating when they tip over and your music goes flying everywhere.
Aside from that, you just need your flute.
I hope you enjoy learning to play the flute!
