Flute Duets
Flute duets are fun! You and another flutist are all you need to make great music. I've been playing duets since I was in the sixth grade. More often than not (okay, hardly ever) I didn't have another flutist friend, so after I saved up enough money to buy a cassette recorder, I started taping one line of the duet and playing along with myself on the other line. The book I started out with way back when was the Selected Duets for Flute edited by Himie Voxman, volume 1 (the yellow book). I love those duets and they are still a wonderful source of enjoyment for flutists today. Don't have one of these books yourself? What are you waiting for?! Get one now. - Rhythmic accuracy (you must take the same tempo without rushing or dragging)
And did I mention that it's fun?
