Fingerings for F-flat and C-flat on flute

Question: I am very confused on how to finger an F-flat and a C-flat it does not show me how to finger it in my finger chart! And so I'm confused on what the note is.

Answer: Think of the flat as lowering the pitch by a half step. So, an F lowered a half step is actually an E. That's an E-natural, not an E-flat. F-flat is the same as E.

A C lowered by a half step is a B. That's B-natural, not B-flat. So C-flat is the same as B.
