Dahlia Flute Duo Masterclass

Dahlia Flute Duo Masterclass will be held June 22 - 25, 2011 in Baltimore, Maryland.

Master Classes for the Emerging Flutist is located at the The Enoch Pratt Free Library at Wheeler Auditorium.

The masterclass began in Summer 2010 to provide flute students with the opportunity to work with professional chamber artists, perform in one of Baltimore's most historic venues, and learn alongside their peers.

Mary Matthews and Melissa Wertheimer will work with students for 4 days to explore concepts of performance and the anatomy of flute playing. Students will also learn about collaboration and performance with accompanists. Discussion topics with question & answer sessions are also integral to the learning experiences in the class.

Special guest speaker and exhibitor will be Joan Sparks of the Flute Pro Shop in Wilmington, Delaware.

The class is open to flute students ages 7 and above.

Fees
Fees range from $225 to $275 for participants to $35 to $100 for auditors.

A scholarship is also available.
