Bozza Image for Flute
The Bozza Image for Flute solo, Op. 38 is a lovely Impressionistic piece for unaccompanied flute. Along with the Syrinx of Debussy, these two pieces are wonderful examples of the impressionistic flute repertoire. The Image is definitely more technically challenging, yet beautiful and emotional. Eugene Bozza crosses over from the impressionistic era, having lived from 1905 to 1991. The light French style is still there.
