I love the flute!

I have always loved the flute--it was and is my passion! So I practiced and practiced.

Then after four years of college, I graduated into a world that didn't have jobs for flutists--imagine that! Well, maybe there were some flute jobs, but I sure wasn't taught how to get them. Can you relate?

So my passion and dream began to whither. Teaching a few lessons here and there did not make me a professional flutist...

But you have to make a living!

I earned a living at mind-numbingly-boring clerical jobs, working for bosses who only cared about their bottom line and not my state of mind. Have you ever worked in jobs like this knowing that there just has to be more?

With the advent of the Internet, I found that I could take my passion for playing the flute on-line, and thus cyberflute.com was born. Did you know that these days anyone with or without computer experience can build a Web site based on their passion?

In a way I had an advantage because I had tinkered with Web sites and HTML code in the past. I made Web sites for our local piano teachers association, for the woodwind quintet I played in, and for my husband who was a band director. But you really don't have to have this type of experience anymore. Even retirees and kids are building income-earning Web sites!

For some reason, I never thought about making a Web site for my flute playing, though. I didn't realize that I could teach the flute, showcase my figurine collection, and play duets over the Internet.

But once I did and with the advanced (but "click-easy") tools available today, my dreams have become a reality. And I didn't have to go back to school for a Master's in Computer Science to do it, either!

Can you really earn money on line?

I used Site Build It! from SiteSell.com to create cyberflute.com and am having so much fun writing about the flute instead of worrying about Javascript and all those other technical things.

Now I can live and share my passion for the flute with the world. I can teach beginners in Bangkok and Berlin or play duets with flutists in Frankfurt and France. What a wonderful thing the Internet is!

One of the ways I make money with my web site is through affiliate marketing.
